Horace Blue is a 1985 graduate of Chicago State University with a B.A. in Business Administration. Horace has been in the mortgage and real estate business over 35 years. He is currently the Owner of Quality 1st Construction Company Inc specialzing in rehab construction projects. Prior to attending Chicago State, he attended Moberly Junior College - 4 time JUCO Champions, on an basketball scholarship. He is an avid basketball fan and also loves to play golf in his spare time. For over 35 years he has been a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Glenwood, where he serves in the capacity of Chairman of the Deacon's Ministry. He lives in South Holland, Illinois with his wife of 41 years and has been blessed with 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Horace has a deep passion for helping young people achieve their goals and he a resource for those who seek assistance in overcoming life challenges.
Kendra Wallace is a dedicated educator with over 30 years of experience serving diverse communities across the United States. Her career has taken her to schools in Houston, Compton, Los Angeles, and the Chicagoland Area, where she has worn many hats—from teacher and coach to Director of Instruction and Social Emotional Learning, Principal, and mentor. Kendra's passion for education has led her to teach students of all ages, from preschoolers to university students, always prioritizing the growth, grit, perseverance, and well-being of children and their families.
Kendra holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard University, where she developed a deep commitment to educational excellence and social equity. Kendra also competed on two athletic teams and worked in recruiting in the Women’s Basketball Office, Currently, she is working toward completing her PhD in Education Leadership, furthering her ability to create impactful, sustainable change in the field of education. Through her work, Kendra continues to inspire the next generation of learners, educators, and leaders.
Her commitment to educational excellence extends beyond the classroom, having served on numerous prestigious boards. Kendra has contributed to the strategic direction of organizations such as Teach for America – Chicago, DePaul University’s Graduate School of Education Advisory Board, Loomis Chaffee School Trustee, Kohl’s Children’s Museum Women's Board, The Model Secondary School Project Advisory Board, and as President of the Winnetka Public School Board, to name a few.
Krystal Jenkins is a Chicago native.
In addition to spending time with her family, Krystal is devoted to public service. She’s been a Federal employee for over 20 years and dedicates her time to volunteering with various community organizations.
Fadil Alispahic was born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina where he started playing basketball at a young age. The war in his homeland in the early 90’s brought him to the USA as an exchange student. After graduating from the high school and adjusting to new life in America, Fadil went to play basketball on the collegiate level at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, where he earned a degree in finance. Employed in banking sector for almost 20 years, Fadil still enjoys spending time on a basketball court working with young kids. His other passions are cooking and skiing. Fadil lives in Morton Grove, IL with his wife and their 2 boys.
